Coffee Crazy Day #4

I love to make different treat boxes & the Candy Box Topper Dies are so versatile and fun to use!

This was a pretty straight-forward project. I used a dark brown base card stock for both the top and bottom of the box topper. I cut a scrap strip of paper from the Coffee Paper Pack (about 3/4″ wide) and glued it to each side, not wrapping it around. You could also do this while the topper piece is flat and not yet assembled but I never seem to know exactly what I want to do until I start getting the topper into a 3D shape! lol
I repeated this with the box topper bottom piece as well. The decorative paper for the top of the box is approximately 1.75″x 1.75″.

I inked the edges of all the Coffee Paper with the Peanut Brittle ink and used the ink to highlight a bit more on the paper.

Then I cut the scalloped circle and circle with the Coffee Circle Dies & layered. Thanks a Latte is from the Coffee Circle Stamps & is stamped with the Vintage Sepia. I did find that I don’t care for that ink as much but my dark brown in Memento was too dry. Must buy reinkers!

I attached the circle to the front of the box topper with a 3D foam circle.

I filled the SM Candy Box with Gormet-Cafe Latte hard candy & dark chocolate-covered espresso beans, then tied with ribbon. The top and bottom are not attached to the SM Candy Box. I prefer to leave them only held with the ribbon. This makes it easier for the recipient to get to their coffee candy fix without destroying their beautiful gift! Alternatively, you could use SuperTack™ to make glue spots & stick the top & bottom to the SM Candy Box.

*Note: I prefer to use a wet glue to make my boxes, instead of tape. I use Glossy Accents as a nice, clear, quick-drying glue that really gets into both sides of the paper and HOLDS.
